The official opening of the ISM Conference will take place in the Coronation Hall of Aachen city hall. Opening speeches and cultural events will frame the ceremony.

Dr. Eduard Heindl (*1961) is professor at the Furtwangen University in Germany and the founder of the Heindl Internet AG, the Heindl Server GmbH and the A3M tsunami institute which built the first tsunami alarm system based on SMS.
